JAKARTA - Employees of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) appreciate the findings of the National Human Rights Commission (Komnas HAM) regarding violations that occurred during the National Insight Test Assessment (TWK) process.
KPK employee representative Yudi Purnomo Harahap said that Komnas HAM's findings announced on Monday, August 16, further proved that there were violations in the test.
"The findings of Komnas HAM reveal another side of the test, which turns out to be not only full of maladministration, but also actual acts which constitute 11 human rights violations in accordance with laws and various international conventions," Yudi said in a written statement quoted on Tuesday, August 17.
In addition, Komnas HAM's findings also show wider problems in the implementation of the TWK as well as validate the findings of the Indonesian Ombudsman which states that there is maladministration and abuse of authority.
"This evidence and validation makes the results of the TWK as the basis for the appointment of KPK employees to become ASNs without legitimacy from both a legal and normative perspective," said the Chairman of the KPK Employee Forum.
Based on these findings, Yudi asked the anti-corruption commission to follow up on all Komnas HAM recommendations so that violations of the rights of employees do not continue and cause serious consequences. "This includes immediately appointing KPK employees who are declared TMS (Not Eligible) to become ASN," said Yudi.
Previously reported, Komnas HAM found that 11 human rights were violated in the implementation of the TWK of KPK employees. The eleven rights that have been violated are the right to justice and legal certainty; women's rights; the right not to discriminate; the right to freedom of religion and belief; right to work; and the right to security.
The next right that is violated is the right to information; right to privacy; the right to freedom of assembly and association; the right to participate in government; and the right to freedom of expression.
As a result of these violations, there were five recommendations submitted to President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) as the highest authority holder and the highest staffing officer. Among them are appointing KPK employees who have not passed the TWK as ASN and restoring the good name of employees due to the bad stigma caused by this incident.
