Jakarta Residents Can Also Get Moderna Vaccines, Check Terms And DKI Hospitals That Provide

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has also provided the Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine to the general public (non-health workers) in a number of government and private health service facilities in five areas of the capital city.

The Moderna COVID-19 vaccine is only given to residents who have an Identity Card (KTP) with a domicile of DKI Jakarta, as evidenced by a domicile letter issued at least by the local RT and the letter is archived by the injecting health facility.

Vaccine recipients must also have never once participated in a COVID-19 vaccination, meaning that the vaccine is not intended as a third dose (booster).

"We need to emphasize that there is no three-dose Moderna booster vaccine for the general public, other than for Health Human Resources," said Head of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Health Office, Widyastuti, quoted by Antara, Monday, August 16.

He said the administration of the Moderna vaccine to the general public (non-health workers) was an effort to overcome the COVID-19 virus so that the entire capital city could immediately achieve herd immunity.

Each person will receive two doses with an interval of 28 days. The target for the vaccination is 100,030 general public/non-health workers.

So that the total dose of Moderna Vaccine that will be given to the general public is 200,060 doses.

The vaccine produced by the United States is a COVID-19 vaccine with a modified mRNA and nucleoside platform to form immunity against the SARS-CoV-2 virus, thereby preventing COVID-19 disease.

"Modern's COVID-19 vaccine is given to people who cannot use the Astra Zeneca and Sinovac vaccines based on a doctor's certificate who practices at any health facility (FKTP/FKRTL) (not necessarily BPJS) and the letter is archived by the injecting health facility," said Widyastuti.

Management of Post-Immunization Adverse Events (KIPI) is carried out in accordance with the procedures in the Circular Letter of the Head of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Health Office Number 48/SE/2021 concerning Anticipation of Post-Covid-19 Vaccination Events in DKI Jakarta Province.

People with certain diseases who need to carry out supporting examinations before vaccination are adjusted to the applicable National Health Insurance (JKN) scheme.

Vaccination is carried out at government and private health care facilities that have internal medicine doctors and allergy immunology consultants as of August 17, 2021.

The health facilities that administer the Moderna Vaccine in North Jakarta include: Koja Regional General Hospital (RSUD), Cilincing Hospital, Pademangan Hospital, and Mitra Keluarga Kelapa Gading Hospital, as well as the Tanjung Priok District Health Center.

Besides North Jakarta, Moderna vaccines are also given in Central Jakarta, West Jakarta, South Jakarta and East Jakarta.
