All Regencies And Cities In Gorontalo Red Zone, New Cases Still High

JAKARTA - Head of the Gorontalo Provincial Health Office, Yana Yanti Suleman, said the increase in new cases of COVID-19 in the area was still high.

According to data from the COVID-19 Task Force on August 16, 2021, there were 87 new cases in Gorontalo and nine of them died.

While there are 147 patients who have recovered and are still being treated or undergoing centralized isolation, there are 69 people.

"The number of new cases in Gorontalo is still fluctuating, therefore I hope the public will continue to tighten health protocols," he said in Gorontalo as reported by Antara, Monday, August 16.

According to him, all regencies and cities in the area are still in the red zone or have the potential for high transmission. Meanwhile, from the data on the occupancy of beds for COVID-19 patients until August 16, 2021, there are 414 units available and 253 units or 61.1 percent used. .

He revealed that there are 34 available ICU beds and 19 units have been used, while the available isolation beds are 365 units and 231 units are used or 63.29 percent.

For the number of ventilators, there are 14 units and 7 units or 50 percent have been used, while the available NICU beds are 15 units and 3 units or 20 percent are used.

There are nine hospitals treating COVID-19 patients in Gorontalo, namely Aloei Saboe Hospital, Hasri Ainun Habibie Hospital, Zainal Umar Sidiki Hospital, Otanaha Hospital, Bumi Panua Hospital, Tani and Fishermen Hospital, Toto Kabila Hospital, Iwan Bokings Hospital, and Tombulilato Hospital.
