JAKARTA - The Governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan said that his party would evaluate the activities of motorized vehicle free day (HBKB) or car free day (CFD) along the Sudirman-MH Thamrin road.
The evaluation was carried out due to the spread of society in the implementation of CFD yesterday, Sunday, June 21. This is because currently the capital city of Jakarta is still in a transitional PSBB period.
"Tonight we will evaluate the HBKB. Today we will review it, collect data, about how many came and others. Later we will decide," Anies said at the City Hall of DKI, Central Jakarta, Monday, June 22.
According to Anies, the evaluation is still in the stage of implementing the health protocol. If CFD has the potential to cause new clusters of COVID-19 transmission, then the health protocol for these activities will be tightened.
"From there we will inform you whether the approach will still be like yesterday, or will change the approach. In essence, we are all in the process of learning to obey protocols, learning to manage activities, and every time there is a process of taking lessons, making corrections, making improvements," he explained.
In response to this, an epidemiologist from the University of Indonesia, Tri Yunis Miko Wahyono, views that the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government needs to tighten supervision of the COVID-19 prevention protocol in the CFD event.
"The COVID-19 protocol must be closely monitored. Keeping the distance between residents must also be considered. Because the number of new cases in DKI is still high," said Miko to VOI.
Miko knows, the supervision has indeed been carried out by the ranks of the DKI Provincial Government, such as Satpol PP and the Transportation Agency. However, unfortunately there is still notice for residents who remove masks on the grounds that they have difficulty breathing while exercising.
"Exercising wearing a mask is indeed difficult, especially cloth masks. If the mask is wet with sweat, it becomes difficult to breathe because the pores of the material will tighten when exposed to sweat. So, I recommend exercising using a face shield," he explained. Miko.
As previously reported, the implementation of the COVID-19 prevention protocol in the HBKB or CFD activities in Sudirman-MH Thamrin, last Sunday morning, has not been obeyed by everyone. Some people seem to take off their masks while exercising.
In fact, there were visitors who turned out to be reactive to COVID-19. This is known from the free rapid tests conducted by the National Police. Of the 600 visitors to the Sudirman-MH Thamrin CFD area, 5 were reactive to COVID-19.
