MOJOKERTO - The mayor of Mojokerto, East Java, Ika Puspitasari, gave bicycles and business capital to two traveling merchants who were met during their "Friday Barokah" visit in Blooto village.

Seeing the condition of the bicycles that were no longer suitable for selling, Ning Ita, as he was known, immediately took the initiative to give a new bicycle and provide business capital assistance to one of the traveling fried food vendors, Misni.

In addition to providing bicycles and business capital assistance, he also bought up the middle-aged woman's merchandise which was then distributed to the children she met as well as giving gifts to children who obediently wear masks when outside the house.

"Because the children are obedient by wearing masks outside the house, the guardian has a gift for the children," he said while giving the envelopes to the children, quoted by Antara, Friday, August 13.

In addition to assistance to Misni, Ning Ita also provided wind bicycles and business capital assistance to Sukiyati, who was a side dish trader who was met and at the same time bought up his merchandise.

Ning Ita and her husband, Supriyadi Karima Saiful, have a Friday Barokah program which she does every two weeks on Fridays by going directly to see the condition of the residents and solving problems in the neighborhood.

"This is my routine agenda with my father who directly goes down to meet the residents to just say hello, as well as provide compensation for the elderly who have no family," said Ning Ita.

According to him, through Friday's visit, he was able to take an inventory of the condition of small traders in the environment so that he could help traders, especially in the midst of the current pandemic.

"We can also see how many traders there are, whether they are all registered with OSS to get NIB so that if there is an assistance program they have been prioritized," he said.

On this blessed Friday, the assistance that Ning Ita also provided included some necessities and money for daily meals for the elderly alone, the money was entrusted to the head of the RT so that it could be managed as well as possible for daily needs.
