TANAH BUMBU - The government of Tanah Bumbu Regency, South Kalimantan, has built an emergency hospital to treat patients exposed to COVID-19 in the "Bumi Bersujud".

"Emergency hospital specifically for patients exposed to COVID-19," said Tanah Bumbu Regent H. dr Zairullah Azhar in Batulicin quoted by Antara, Tuesday, August 10.

The hospital is located in Gunung Tinggi Village and not far from the office which is right next to the Great Mosque of Nurussalam.

The emergency hospital used to be the Mahligai Bersujud Building or a multi-purpose building, but is now being used as an emergency hospital considering the increasing number of COVID-19 cases in all regions.

The capacity of the hospital is able to accommodate about 104 prospective patients, equipped with beds, and each room is filled with four beds for four people.

According to the Regent, in the past month there has been a significant increase in COVID-19 cases.

"Therefore, we anticipate by making this emergency hospital, because regional general hospitals are no longer able to accommodate," said Zairullah Azhar.

In addition, villages and sub-districts have also prepared quarantine houses. Emergency hospital facilities will also continue to be provided for the convenience of patients so that when they are treated, they can recover quickly.

The Regent also hopes that the public is more aware of the importance of health protocols so that they are not easily exposed to the corona virus.
