BOGOR - The police have arrested NH, a woman who gave a loan to MA, a grandmother in Bogor who had guaranteed her granddaughter because of a debt. NH has now been named as a suspect in the case of illegal possession of children.

"We received the arrival of Mr. Yanto and reported that his grandson in the name of MR (initials) aged 5 years had been taken from his control by the reported party, namely Mrs. NH," said the Police Chief to VOI, Tuesday 10 August.

To check and restore the psychological condition of MR, the Police coordinated with the P2TPA2. Meanwhile, the officers also examined as many as five witnesses to investigate this case, including the examination of the suspect NH.

"We secured MR in good health. On Monday we examined the reported on behalf of NH, and we named him a suspect," added Susatyo.

Susatyo explained that NH was suspected of being under Article 88 of the Child Protection Act and Article 330 of the Criminal Code concerning illegally taking over or controlling an underage child.

This case began with a debt problem between Yanto and MA and NH in the amount of Rp. 15,400,000. With the reason that Yanto and MA were worried that they would not pay their debts, because they often moved places, NH made M, the grandson of Yanto and MA, as collateral for the debt.

"So based on the testimony of the witnesses, it seems that Yanto's father moves from house to house, so that as collateral it is his grandson. So Yanto and MA are under pressure to accept that their grandson was taken by reported NH," explained Susatyo.

As long as they were under the control of NH, said Susatyo, Yanto and MA could not meet and communicate with their grandchildren. So, the incident was reported to the police.

"We focus on cases of taking over children against the law. Where the parents are no longer there then the right of custody directly falls to his grandmother and grandfather, namely Yanto and MA. But this was taken by force by NH," said Susatyo.
