Gerindra Politician Habiburokhman Regrets The Entry Of 34 Chinese Foreign Workers During PPKM Level 4

JAKARTA - Member of Commission III of the House of Representatives, Habiburokhman, regrets the entry of 34 foreign workers (TKA) from China to Indonesia when PPKM level 4 was still in effect in Indonesia.

The Chinese foreign workers escaped to their homeland because they held a Limited Stay Permit (ITAS) and entered via Soekarno-Hatta International Airport on Saturday, August 7.

He hopes that the government can explain in full regarding the permitting of Chinese foreign workers to enter Indonesia. Also, all rules can be enforced equally by the government.

"Every rule enforcement must be accompanied by an open explanation of the reasons," said Habiburokhman, Monday, August 9.

Previously, the government had explained the requirements for foreigners to enter Indonesia according to the Ministry of Law and Human Rights 27/2021 because they had a Limited Stay Permit (ITAS). However, according to Habiburokhman, the government actually makes people fail to understand.

"Despite this explanation, the government has failed to explain the urgency of their arrival. The people do not understand article by article of the Permenkumham," he explained.

The Gerindra politician emphasized that the presence of Chinese foreign workers during the PPKM Level 4 period would certainly hurt the sense of justice. Moreover, people who are tired of the rules that require them to stay at home.

However, at the same time, Chinese foreign workers are still allowed to come for the success of the foreign investment program that is escorted by the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut B. Pandjaitan.

"They feel it's unfair that when they are restricted from moving, Chinese foreigners can actually enter," explained Prabowo Subianto's subordinate.
