"Security officers found the perpetrators were dismantling the charity box, after carrying out daily checks at the Jambu Air Alfalah Mosque," he said again.

KBO Criminal Investigation Unit of the Bukittinggi Police, Ipda Herwin, added that police officers are still hunting for one other perpetrator who managed to escape during the incident.

"The two perpetrators who were arrested with the initials D (16) address Ladang Cakiah, and his colleague R (13) with the address Jambu Air. They opened the charity box with a knife that had been prepared beforehand," he said.

The police secured evidence in the form of two charity boxes. Meanwhile, the loss is estimated at IDR 250,000.

Meanwhile, the perpetrators are threatened with a sentence of more than five years in prison in accordance with Articles 11 and 12 concerning the juvenile criminal system.
