State Losses Due To Corruption Of Village Funds In Lombok Regency Becomes IDR 1 Billion

JAKARTA - An indication of state losses in the case of alleged corruption in the management of the Village Fund/Sesait Village Fund Budget, North Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara, in 2019 increased to Rp1 billion.

The head of the Mataram District Attorney's Office, Yusuf, said an indication of the loss to be Rp. 1 billion emerged from the audit of the North Lombok Inspectorate.

"So the losses come from the research stage project, the management of BUMDes, and there are also other physical projects and procurement of goods," said Yusuf in Mataram, as reported by Antara, Thursday, August 5.

In the details, the indication of the largest state losses that appeared was on the research stage project with a value of Rp636.82 million. For losses from the management of BUMDes, the value reaches Rp. 122.31 million.

From this case, investigators have named the former Sesait Village Secretary with the initials DS as a suspect. During his tenure, DS was alleged to have abused his authority for personal gain.

Every time there is a village activity, DS is suspected of having a monopoly. Starting from planning, implementation to the reporting process.

"Every activity, it is the DS that manages it, not the TPK (the activity implementation team), not the village head," he said.

Likewise, receipts for disbursement of the village activity budget, all of which are suspected to be under the control of the DS. Therefore, all the state losses that arise in this case, it is strongly suspected that the estuary is with DS. Furthermore, Yusuf said that DS has now officially been detained. As a prisoner entrusted by the prosecutor, DS served it at the Mataram Police Rutan. He has been detained since Wednesday (14/4).

During the investigation process, investigators are currently trying to complete the filing of the suspect.

"So the file has not been completed. Later when it is P-21 (complete file), we will inform you," he said.

As a suspect, DS was charged with Article 2 Paragraph 1 Juncto Article 18 and Article 3 Juncto Article 18 UU RI Number 20/2001 concerning amendments to UU RI Number 31/1999 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption Juncto Article 55 Paragraph (1) 1st Criminal Code.

In 2019, Sesait Village managed DD/ADD worth 3.88 billion as well as additional revenue-sharing funds for regional taxes and levies (BHPRD). The value is IDR 235.15 million.

The budget was then used to finance physical projects, including the construction of the Pande Sumur road, the construction of the Pansor Drainage, the construction of the Lokok Ara River, the Pande Sumur Tall, then the procurement of durian seeds, and the construction of a cooking stage.

Of the many projects, the problem of building a waiting stage arose. The condition is reported to be damaged, resulting in the stage being unable to function as a venue for performing traditional Sasak fighting arts.
