SAMPANG - The District Court (PN) of Sampang, East Java, found guilty and imposed sanctions on 14 violators of health protocols during the implementation of the implementation of restrictions on community activities (PPKM).

According to the judge handling the case, Ivan Budi Santoso in Sampang, Wednesday, the 14 people who violated the health protocol were found guilty and sentenced to pay the sanctions, each consisting of six dangdut singers, one owner of a dangdut orchestra, one host, and four dangdut orchestra owners. spectators.

"The guilty verdicts for the 14 people were handed down during the trial for minor crimes (tipiring) which was held at the Sampang District Court on August 3, 2021," said Ivan, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, August 4.

He explained that the 14 people were proven to have violated statutory provisions as stated in the Regent's Regulation (Perbup) Number 53 of 2020 concerning the Implementation of Discipline and Law Enforcement of Health Protocols.

"The 14 people who were tried and sentenced to fines were involved in the performance of the wedding reception dangdut orchestra in Banjar Tabulu Village, Camplong District, Sampang Regency, Monday (2/8) last night," he explained.

The sanctions given by the judge to the defendant varied, ranging from Rp. 1 million to Rp. 8 million, and spectators who were "nyawer" to dangdut singers were given a sanction of Rp. 250 thousand.

The defendants generally accept the judge's verdict with a monetary penalty, and no one has filed an appeal against the verdict that has been determined.

Sampang Police Chief AKBP Abdul Hafidz emphasized that the enforcement of health protocol discipline would continue to be improved, considering the spread of the Corona virus in this district is increasingly worrying.

Various types of activities that have the potential to invite crowds, such as dangdut orchestra performances, will be sanctioned in accordance with applicable legal provisions.
