RJ Lino To Be Tried At The Jakarta Corruption Court Soon

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has handed over the case file for RJ Lino. He is a defendant in the alleged corruption case in the procurement of three Quay Container Crane (QCC) units at PT Pelindo II.

The transfer of files from the KPK Public Prosecutor (JPU) to the Jakarta Corruption Court (Tipikor) was carried out today, Tuesday, August 3.

"KPK Prosecutor Meyer Volmar Simanjuntak has transferred the case files of defendant RJ Lino to the Corruption Court at the Central Jakarta District Court," Acting KPK Spokesperson for Enforcement Ali Fikri told reporters, Tuesday, August 3.

Furthermore, the KPK is just waiting for the determination of the panel of judges who will lead the trial with the agenda of the first trial being the reading of the indictment. Meanwhile, the detention of RJ Lino is fully under the authority of the Jakarta Corruption Court.

"The public prosecutor's team will wait for the appointment of a panel of judges who will lead the trial and also determine the day of the trial with the initial agenda of reading the indictment," said Ali.

In this alleged corruption case, RJ Lino was charged with two articles, namely Article 2 paragraph (1) of the Anti-Corruption Law in Article 55 paragraph (1) to 1 of the Criminal Code and Article 3 of the Anti-Corruption Law in Article 55 paragraph (1) to 1 of the Criminal Code.

In this case, RJ Lino has been named a suspect since December 2015. However, the detention was only made on Friday, March 26, 2021.

He is suspected of making direct appointments to a Chinese company, HuaDong Heavy Machinery (HDHM) in the procurement of three QCC units at PT Pelindo II.
