Restaurant Visitors Until Warteg In DKI Must Have Vaccines, Deputy Governor Instructs RT To Spread Information Through WA Groups

JAKARTA - The DKI Provincial Government has begun to oblige its citizens who have various activities outside their homes to be vaccinated against COVID-19. One of them is targeting restaurant visitors to food stalls or warteg.

In addition, the requirement to have been vaccinated also applies to company employees who work from the office, visitors to hotels, salons, markets, shopping centers, to guests of the marriage contract.

Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Ahmad Riza Patria admitted that his party had instructed every RT in the capital to disseminate information about PPKM Level 4 rules to their citizens via WhatsApp messages.

"We have reached the RT level throughout Jakarta and have created a WhatsApp group for each RT to coordinate with all their respective citizens," said Riza at DKI City Hall, Central Jakarta, Friday, July 30.

In the group, there are also ranks of the RT-RW level COVID-19 Task Force which functions to coordinate in tackling a community-scale pandemic.

"We use WhatsApp group communication for each RT to exchange ideas, provide information to each other, help each other, help each other and help each other," he said.

Therefore, Riza asked all parties to work together in the success of the vaccination program in Jakarta. This is because the government is targeting the capital city to achieve herd immunity with 7.5 million of its citizens having been vaccinated by the end of August.

"From the target of 7.5 million people at the end of August, hopefully we can achieve it. Of course this requires the cooperation of all parties in collaboration with all parties," said Riza.

"Most importantly, we ask everyone to immediately implement the vaccine so that, wherever we go, go, go to any place, it is safer for those who have been vaccinated," he continued.
