Metro Police Chief: Independent Vaccination Targets More Than 3 Million People In Jakarta

JAKARTA - Metro Jaya Police Chief Inspector General Fadil Imran targets the independent vaccination process to reach more than three million people in Jakarta. Thus, herd immunity can be achieved immediately.

"Independent vaccination, we target that 3 million 60 thousand people will be vaccinated," Fadil told reporters at Polda Metro Jaya, Friday, July 30.

The target is the rest of Jakarta residents who have not been vaccinated. With the existence of this independent vaccine, it can accelerate the government's target to achieve herd immunity.

"That is the remainder of the total 9 million Jakarta residents, almost 10 million who will be vaccinated," said Inspector General Fadil.

In the process of independent vaccination, continued Fadil, it will be carried out twice. The first phase will take effect from 1 to 17 August

Meanwhile, the second phase will start on August 28 to September 13. "The independent vaccination movement will also do a second dose," he said.

In addition, in its application, the public can easily undergo the independent vaccination process. Because, there are hundreds of vaccine outlets spread throughout the Jakarta area.

"There are 900 outlets in the RW post. People just need to open the door and they can get vaccinated right away," said Inspector General Fadil. For information, the independent vaccine is a Polda Metro Jaya program in August 2021. The purpose of this program is to accelerate the formation of herd immunity.

Independent vaccines also involve medical volunteers. They consist of general practitioners, dentists, nurses, and midwives who have received special training.
