93 People In Garut Are Poisoned After Attending A Wedding, Food Samples Are Being Researched

GARUT - The Garut Regency Health Office (Dinkes) conducted an inspection of the food suspected of being the cause of dozens of people being poisoned after eating food served at a wedding in Cibiuk District.

"We have taken food samples and samples of patient vomit," said Head of Disease Prevention and Control (P2P) Garut District Health Office Asep Surahman told reporters in Garut, Thursday.

He said that the ranks of the Garut Health Service had carried out medical treatment for dozens of residents who were victims of poisoning after eating food at a wedding celebration in Cibiuk District, Garut, last Wednesday, July 28.

The Health Service, he said, not only treats poisoned patients, but also finds out the cause of the poisoning by examining the patient's food and vomit.

The results of the examination, he said, could not be known yet, his party was still waiting for the results of laboratory tests that could be known in the next few days.

"To prove this is the cause of what kind of food, whether bacterial or chemical, it will take several days," he said.

Asep added that 93 cases of suspected food poisoning were reported, but 28 people received medical treatment at the local health center.

Previously, many residents complained of nausea, vomiting, and dizziness after eating food at a wedding in Cibiuk District.
