Regent Of Nagan Raya Aceh Cancels Purchase Of New Official Cars Of IDR 1.7 Billion

ACEH - Nagan Raya Regent Muhammad Jamin Idham canceled the planned purchase of a new official car worth Rp. 1.7 billion which had been allocated in the 2021 Regency Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBK).

"This cancellation is because the community still needs development in other sectors," said Regent HM Jamin Idham in Suka Makmue, Nagan Raya, Aceh, quoted by Antara, Thursday, July 29.

There is also the type of official car whose purchase plan has been canceled, namely the Toyota Lexus.

Regent HM Jamin Idham emphasized that the cancellation was also an effort to maintain people's feelings in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic situation.

The Regent also acknowledged that the official vehicle he had been using to carry out his daily duties was a Toyota Prado and had been around for 11 years.

With that age, the official car that he was traveling in was often damaged during official trips.

In order to deal with car damage while serving in the community, for the past three years the regent has used his private car to support his activities as a regional official.

"The old car inevitably has to be parked, because its age is no longer suitable as the regent's official car," said HM Jamin Idham.

He emphasized that he had to cancel the new official car as an effort to create political stability in the region, including during the COVID-19 pandemic situation.
