Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Yusri Yunus said the perpetrators in this case amounted to 3 people. Apart from SS and SKI, the police also arrested FI. All three are from South Sulawesi.

"There are two Police Reports (LP) with 3 suspects that we have secured. All three are from South Sulawesi. The method is the same but they are more of a fraud," Yusri Yunus told reporters, Tuesday, July 27.

"They are dating. His brain is SKI and teaches SS to create an account and make offers through social media," said Yusri.

"In that account, he said that if you want to have a vaccine certificate without having a vaccine or are afraid to do a vaccine, we will open a certificate-making service," continued Yusri.

No different, the suspect has the same initials FI modus operandi. Perpetrators lure potential victims to produce fake vaccine certificates.

However, when the victim believed and transferred some money, the perpetrator disappeared. In fact, the vaccine certificate never existed.

"Indeed, specialists cheat. After the person transferred to the person concerned, the vaccine card did not come out but the person's money disappeared," said Yusri.

"This perpetrator cheated with a price of Rp. 400 thousand, the money has been transferred but the vaccine can't be obtained," continued Yusri.

Thus, as a result of their actions, the suspects were suspected of under Article 28 in conjunction with Article 45 a of the ITE Law. They face up to 6 years in prison.
