Naruto And Hanoman Take Action In Front Of Plaza Manahan Solo, Distribute Boiled Eggs To Pedicab Drivers

SOLO - Hanoman - characters in the epic Ramayana - and Naruto distribute boiled eggs to residents in the Manahan Village area, Banjarsari District, Solo City, Central Java Province, Tuesday, July 27.

Of course Hanoman did not come down from heaven or Naruto, one of the main characters made by mangaka Masashi Kishimoto 'fly' directly from Japan to the people of Solo. Both were played by the residents of Solo themselves together with members of the Small Disaster Management Unit of the Surakarta AKBARA Polytechnic.

They distributed parcels which included boiled eggs, a glass of drink, and masks to pedicab drivers and vegetable traders who passed in front of Plaza Manahan.

"In our activity of distributing boiled eggs for breakfast, the target is pedicab drivers and vegetable traders. They are given three eggs each, sauce, salt, anget (warm) tea drink, and masks to keep their immunity strong," said Partika Subagyo Lelono, the coordinator of the social action wearing the Hanoman costume, was reported by Antara, Tuesday, July 27.

In the social action, as many as 300 boiled eggs were distributed to residents. Members of the breakfast distribution committee wore masks, kept their distance, and tried to prevent crowds at the event.

"We distribute hard-boiled eggs by changing places to comply with health protocols (prokes)," said Subagyo.

"We hope and invite the community, let's act and do, especially those who feel they have more sustenance, to be set aside to help with existing capabilities for people in need," he added.

Among the residents who received breakfast parcels from the organizers of the social action was Sukardi (57), a pedicab driver.

"I am greatly helped," said Sukardi, who hopes that the COVID-19 pandemic will end soon and residents can return to their activities as before the pandemic.
