18 Thousand Families In Siak Can Now Smile, Get PPKM Social Assistance From The Government

Siak Regent and Forkompida release 180 tons of rice assistance/ Antara

JAKARTA - The Siak Regency Government distributed 180 tons of rice social assistance from the central government for communities affected by the Implementation of Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM).

"Starting today we are distributing social assistance to the community, and it must be completed by the end of July for 14 sub-districts," said Siak Regent Alfedri, at the Regional Government Mess page, Jalan Raja Kecik Siak Sri, Indrapura, as reported by Antara, Monday, July 26.

The assistance was symbolically given by the Regent of Siak Alfedri, then Chairman of the DPRD Siak Azmi, Kajari Siak and other elements of the Siak Forkopimda.

The social assistance for rice for 10 kg was disbursed by the government through the Ministry of Social Affairs in collaboration with Perum Bulog.

The number of recipients for Siak Regency for the Family Hope Program (PKH) category is 6,917 KPM and the Cash Social Assistance (BST) category for 11,156 KPM, with a total of 18,073 KPM and BST recipients or 180.73 tons.

He hoped that the assistance could provide some relief to the people affected by PPKM while hoping that everything would pass soon so that people could return to their normal activities.

Regent Alfedri also asked the PKH assistant staff in the sub-district and sub-district social workers to help distribute the social assistance until it was right on target and in the right administration. Meanwhile, Bulog Warehouse Head Siak Juhari Harahap said that he had prepared the 2021 PPKM rice rafting in 10 kilogram packages. For Siak Regency, the assistance provided is in the form of medium rice which is the government's rice reserve (CBP) which is stored in the Bulog Perum warehouse located in Bungaraya District.

The Head of Siak Social Service, Wan Idris, added that the distribution of rice aid was started for the Siak sub-district, especially in the Villages of Kampung Rempak and Kampung Dalam. Then it will be continued the next day in Mempura and Bungaraya Districts.

Meanwhile for other sub-districts, the schedule has been adjusted so that by the end of July it has been distributed to all villages and sub-districts in Siak.

"According to the president's directive, no later than July 31, it must have been distributed to the public," he said.
