COVID-19 Update As Of July 24: There Are 45,416 New Cases, Accumulated 3,127,826 Cases

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 252,696 specimens were examined today. As a result, there were 45,416 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 3,127,826 people and 574,135 active cases," said Ministry of Health data, Saturday, July 24.

Today's recovered cases increased by 39,767 cases, bringing the total to 2,471,678 recovered people. Then, positive confirmed cases who died increased by 1,415 people and a total of 82,013 people.

The province with the most new cases is DKI Jakarta with 8,360 cases and a total of 786,880 cases. Followed by West Java which has 7,587 new cases with a total of 563,767 cases. East Java has 5,699 new cases and a total of 272,340 cases. Then, Central Java had 5,465 new cases and a total of 348,815 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 14,612 recovered cases. Followed by West Java with an increase of 6,709 recovered cases, East Java with an additional 4,428 recovered cases, and Central Java with an additional 4,004 recovered cases.

No province has reported no new cases as of today. In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens reached 24,640,996.

"Positive results per number of specimens examined or this week's positivity rate of 35.60 percent," he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases, was recorded at 264,578 people. Currently, 510 districts/cities from 34 provinces have COVID-19 cases.

Furthermore, currently there are 44,107,926 people who have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 17,475,996 of the second dose of vaccination. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
