JAKARTA - Police have uncovered a syndicate of drug trafficking from South Africa. In this disclosure, the mode of smuggling is by storing methamphetamine in a bag in the form of a folder.

"We together with Customs and Excise officers managed to secure an international network drug syndicate from South Africa," said West Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Ady Wibowo to reporters, Friday, July 23.

From the modified folder bag, continued Ady, his party found 1 kilogram of methamphetamine. The methamphetamine was stored on the right and left of the bag.

"Two packages of methamphetamine with evidence weighing 1 kilogram," said Adi.

In addition, West Jakarta Metro Police Narcotics Head AKBP Ronaldo Maradona Siregar said that in the disclosure a man with the initials ADM (46) was also arrested. He is the owner of a map bag containing methamphetamine.

"We secured the perpetrators when they took packages containing drugs at an office for shipping goods or expeditions," he said.

With these findings, the police immediately developed the case. Especially looking for the sender of the methamphetamine package to the perpetrators who have been arrested.
