Vaccine Card Business And COVID-19 Swab Test, Sorong Police, Ciduk City 4 Perpetrators

WEST PAPUA - The Sorong City Police Resort (Polres), West Papua revealed a case of forgery of vaccine cards and COVID-19 swab tests for travelers in this area.

Sorong City Police Chief AKBP Ary Nyoto Setiawan said his party managed to uncover two cases with 4 suspects for falsifying vaccine card documents and COVID-19 swab tests.

The first case, as quoted from Antara, Thursday, July 22, was revealed on July 12, 2021 at DEO Sorong Airport. Two suspects with the initials S and I made the results of the COVID-19 word test and fake vaccine cards to be sold for Rp800 thousand.

Then on July 18, 2021, personnel of the Sorong City Police Gakkum Task Force also revealed two sellers of fake COVID-19 vaccine cards with the initials Z and T.

Perpetrators S and I in the first case were charged with Article 263 of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 268 paragraphs 1 and 2 of the Criminal Code concerning forgery of the signature of an authorized official with a penalty of 14 years.

Meanwhile, the two perpetrators Z and T were charged with Article 263 of the Criminal Code with a sentence of 6 years imprisonment.

"We are still developing this case, to ascertain whether there are other perpetrators who are also involved with the four perpetrators who have been arrested," said Ary Nyoto.
