DENPASAR - Two unemployed men named Rohan (31) and Mustakim (30) were arrested by the South Denpasar Police, Bali, for stealing bicycles belonging to residents.

"The method is to take a bicycle that is parked at a resident's house," said the Head of Criminal Investigation at the South Denpasar Police, AKP Hadimastika Karsito Putro, Monday, July 19.

The bicycle theft occurred on Jalan Pulau Bungin, Pedungan, South Denpasar, Bali, on the evening of Friday, July 16. At that time, the victim realized that his bicycle was missing when he was about to enter the bicycle into the house.

"For the victim's loss, one unit of a white polygon bicycle and a total loss of Rp. 3 million," said Hadimastika.

Based on the victim's report, the police immediately launched an investigation. It is known there are two bike thieves who act on motorbikes. The two perpetrators were arrested on Jalan Buana Raya.

"From the confession of the perpetrator, the bicycle was obtained from the proceeds of stealing at the Bungin Island Road TKP and the perpetrator and the evidence were secured," he added.

Meanwhile, from the results of the interrogation, one of the perpetrators named Mustakim is a recidivist and only one month ago was released. Mustakim was previously imprisoned for cell phone theft.

"In addition, the two perpetrators admitted to having stolen bicycles at 5 (different) crime scenes," said AKP Hadimastika.
