JAKARTA - Police officers from the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Nagan Raya Aceh Police have succeeded in uncovering the alleged murder case of Khairul Ambiya (27 years), a cellular phone dealer from Lhok Bubon Village, Samatiga District, West Aceh Regency.

The victim was previously found dead in an irrigated area in Simpang Peuet Village, Kuala Subdistrict, Nagan Raya Aceh Regency on Friday, July 16, near midnight, covered in blood.

"It is suspected that the victim Khairul Ambiya was killed by being hacked with a bayonet," said Nagan Raya Police Chief AKBP Risno SIK represented by the Criminal Investigation Unit AKP Machfud in Suka Makmue, as reported by Antara, Sunday, July 18.

In this case, the police also arrested two perpetrators, each with the initials RE (21 years) and RC (21 years), residents of Simpang Peut Village, Kuala District, Nagan Raya Regency.

He explained that the two perpetrators were caught by the police not far from the scene, after they were suspected of hiding after killing their victims.

In addition to arresting the two perpetrators, the police also secured a number of evidences including one unit of the victim's KLX BL-6439-EAF motorcycle, one Oppo Renno 4 cellphone, one bayonet, three pairs of sandals, and a side bag.

Based on the results of the investigation and processing of the crime scene carried out by the police, the victim Khairul Ambiya is suspected of having been abused before being killed by two perpetrators who have been arrested.

He also explained that the two perpetrators were suspected of being desperate to kill the victim only because the victim had demanded Rp1 million from one of the perpetrators, which was money from selling cellular phones.

Based on the results of visum et repertum obtained by the police, the victim Khairul Ambiya suffered six torn wounds on his body, namely each in the back of the neck, middle back, middle right back, lower right back, middle right back.

"We are still developing this case and we are investigating it, currently the two perpetrators are still being held at the Nagan Raya Police Headquarters for further investigation," said AKP Machfud.
