JAKARTA - The Crescent Star Party (PBB) celebrates its 23rd anniversary today. The United Nations affirmed its position as an idealist party.

The celebration was held virtually at the headquarters of the Crescent Star Party DPP, Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta.

UN General Chair Yusril Ihza Mahendra hopes that young UN cadres can take advantage of information technology during the current pandemic, one of which is online schools. Because according to him, technology can simplify business and save time.

“School through online is fun, take advantage of this online school. The pandemic may not end in the next one to two years," said Yusril in his speech.

Yusril also asked all his party cadres in Indonesia not to stop their activities even though they are still in a pandemic atmosphere.

"Do it with technology such as recruiting members and we already have an e-KTA," he said.

Yusril also mentioned the pragmatic political choices of the people. He admits that money politics has always been the prima donna before the general election and regional head elections. However, he stressed that his party will remain consistent with the ideals that have been built for a long time. The UN, he said, also did not want to spend money.

“I hope that idealism exists within each cadre. Don't expect to corrupt money and position in this party. Hopefully this party will still exist,” said Yusril.

Yusril added that he also did not want to stay long as chairman at the United Nations, because there must be regeneration. "Hopefully there will be someone who can bring this party to be better than before," he said.

Meanwhile, UN Secretary General Afriansyah Noor said the UN had done many things to build the nation at this young age. His party is currently preparing for the 2024 General Election.

His party, he said, was still focused on fixing the party's infrastructure from the DPP to the branches. At the same time as a form of evaluation after the party failed to qualify for Senayan in the 2019 election.

"We are concerned about internal consolidation, by strengthening the DPP infrastructure to the branch level to welcome the next election," said Afriansyah, opening the Milad event.

In addition to fixing the party's infrastructure, he admitted that he was also ordered to revise the management of the DPP in connection with the deaths of the Chief Justice of the UN Court KH Yasin Ardhi and the Chairman of the UN Syuro Council KH Muqaddas Murtadla.

"We are doing all of this for the improvement of the PBB towards 2024 and preparations for administrative verification carried out by the KPU. God willing, we hope that in this year's milad, the UN will be even better under the command of Prof. Yusril Ihza Mahendra," said Afriansyah.
