JAKARTA - Edhy Prabowo's former personal secretary, Andreau Misanta Pribadi and his former staff member, Safri, were sentenced to 4 years and 6 months in prison. They are declared legally guilty of corruption.

"The defendants were sentenced to imprisonment for 4 years and 6 months respectively," said Chief Justice Albertus Usada in a trial at the Corruption Court, Jakarta, Thursday, July 15.

Not only that, they were also sentenced to a fine of Rp. 300 million. However, if you do not pay the fine, it will be replaced with imprisonment for 6 months.

"A fine of Rp. 300 million, provided that if the fine is not paid, it will be replaced with a six-month prison sentence," said Albertus.

The sentences handed down to them were similar to the prosecutor's demands. They are considered to have helped Edhy Prabowo in accepting bribes for permits to export lobster seeds or fry.

For information, Edhy Prabowo was sentenced to 5 years in prison in a similar case. In addition, Edhy Prabowo was also sentenced to a fine of Rp. 400 million, a subsidiary of 6 months in prison.

In fact, Edhy Prabowo was required to pay compensation for the corruption he committed in the amount of Rp9.68 billion and US$77 thousand.
