Medan Children Remember Bobby Nasution's Words, Starting Tomorrow Violators Of Emergency PPKM Will Be Strictly Actioned

MEDAN - The Mayor of Medan, North Sumatra, Bobby Nasution, stated that today is the last day of the emergency PPKM socialization period. Starting tomorrow, Thursday, July 15, violators of the emergency PPKM will be dealt with firmly.

"This means that in the future there will be firm actions taken by officers in the field for people who violate this Emergency PPKM," said Bobby Nasution after attending the opening of the mass vaccination of students at SMP Negeri 11 Medan, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, July 14.

President Jokowi's son-in-law said that the Emergency PPKM until July 20 was implemented in the local area more of a precaution so that the number of COVID-19 spreads did not increase.

The mayor reminded all people to always apply the 5M health protocol, namely washing hands, wearing masks, maintaining distance, staying away from crowds and reducing mobility.

"We do this Emergency PPKM so that the community is more disciplined in implementing the 5M process, especially reducing community mobility," said Bobby.

Bobby Nasution also said that the Medan City Government (Pemkot) would provide social assistance to communities affected by this Emergency PPKM policy.

"We are currently collecting data, God willing, in this week or next week we can do the assistance," said the Mayor of Medan.
