Take Notes! Polda Metro Adds 100 New Blocking Points, Effective Starting Tomorrow At 06.00 WIB

JAKARTA - Polda Metro Jaya has decided to add blocking points in all areas of Jakarta and its surroundings. In total, it reaches 100 blocking points.

"We will carry out 100 points at the blocking point starting tomorrow at 06.00 WIB," said the Director of Traffic of the Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Sambodo Purnomo Yogo to reporters, Wednesday, July 14.

The hundreds of blocking points are spread over a number of roads. Starting from arterial roads, border areas, to toll roads.

At least, there are 25 new blocking points. This is because previously there were 75 isolation points in the jurisdiction of the Polda Metro Jaya.

"In the city there are 19 points, on the toll road there are 15 points, at the city limits 10 points, in the buffer area there are 29 points, and the Sudirman-Thamrin road section there are 27 points, so there are 100 points in total," Sambodo explained

Previously, the National Police Chief of Traffic, Inspector General Istiono, said that he would increase the number of isolation points throughout the Java-Bali region. The addition is related to the plan to extend the Emergency Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) period.

"Yes, adding bulkheads and thickening personnel," said Istiono.

In the scheme that has been prepared, arterial roads to toll roads will be blocked.

However, as to the number and at what point the partition will be applied, Istiono has not been able to convey it. Because, it depends on the decision of each Polda ranks.

"Each Polda will add (blockage points) both on arterial and toll roads," said Istiono.
