KPK Asks Fugitives To Surrender Immediately, Including Harun Masiku

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) asked another fugitive in the bribery case that ensnared former Supreme Court (MA) Secretary Nurhadi and Riezky Herbiyono, namely the Director of PT Multicon Indrajaya Terminal (MIT) Hiendra Soenjoto to surrender.

"To HS suspects and all KPK suspects who are currently DPOs, we remind you to immediately surrender yourself to the KPK," said KPK Deputy Chairman Nurul Ghufron in a press conference after the arrest of DPO Nurhadi and Riezky, which was broadcast on the KPK RI YouTube Account, Tuesday, June 2.

Hiendra, who is one of the suspects in the bribery and gratification case against Nurhadi through his son-in-law, is currently unknown. He and Nurhadi and Riezky have been on the wanted list (DPO) since last February 2020.

Regarding the number of KPK suspects still fugitive, Ghufron said the anti-corruption agency would continue to conduct searches assisted by the police.

This also applies to fugitives in the bribery case against former General Election Commissioner (KPU) Wahyu Setiawan, a former PDI-P candidate Harun Masiku whose whereabouts are unknown. "Regarding other fugitives, the KPK will continue to work," said Ghufron.

"Because of that we are very open to getting information about the whereabouts of other DPOs, including HM (Harun Masiku)," he added.

For people who want to provide information about the whereabouts of the fugitives, Ghufron said, the KPK opens access to information reception. "For people who know the whereabouts of KPK DPOs, they should report to the nearest police station or inform the KPK via Call Center 198 or telephone number 021-25578300," he explained.

As previously reported, former Secretary of the Supreme Court (MA) Nurhadi, who was already a fugitive from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), was arrested Monday, July 1. Nurhadi, who was arrested with his son-in-law, Riezky Herbiyono, is now at the KPK building and is undergoing further investigation.

They were arrested for being KPK suspects in an alleged bribery and gratuity case worth Rp46 billion and have been on the wanted list (DPO) since February.

After undergoing examination by the KPK investigating team, the two of them were then sent to the KPK Detention Center to undergo further investigations related to the case.

Meanwhile, until now, there are still a number of fugitives whose whereabouts are not yet known. Among them are former PDIP candidate Harun Masiku, who is said by several parties as having possibly died and the suspect in the alleged bribery case for the termination of PT Asmin Koalindo Tuhup's coal mining exploitation work agreement (PKP2B) at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), Samin Tan .
