After The Seafarers' Activities In Cirebon, Teachers And 9 Students Of SMK Negeri 2 Bangka Positive For COVID, Are Now Treated At Wisma Atlet

JAKARTA - Spokesperson for the COVID-19 Task Force for Bangka Regency, Bangka Belitung Islands Province, Boy Yandra said, as many as 9 students from SMK Negeri 2 Bangka have been isolated at Wisma Atlet Jakarta since Sunday, July 11. They tested positive for COVID.

"Nine students are undergoing isolation at the athletes' guesthouse after being confirmed positive for COVID-19 from the antigen test results when they were about to return to Bangka Island," he said in Sungailiat as reported by Antara, Monday, July 12.

In addition to the athlete's guesthouse, there are 24 students from the same school and accompanying teachers undergoing isolation in the city of Cirebon, West Java.

"It was recorded that there were 50 students and three accompanying teachers who carried out follow-up activities to collect seafarers' books in Cirebon for 10 days," he explained.

Meanwhile, students and teachers who were declared healthy, said Boy Yandra, had been sent back to Bangka Belitung but had to undergo isolation before returning to their respective homes.

"There are 12 students and one accompanying teacher currently undergoing isolation at the Sinar Baru Bangka Health Center, while the other seven students have previously returned home," he said.

The information received, he said, was that students who were undergoing isolation both at the athlete's guesthouse and in the city of Cirebon were in good health, just waiting to return home within the specified time limit.

"I advise the whole community to consider traveling out of town because the spread of COVID-19 cases is still quite high in a number of areas in Indonesia," he said.
