Loudly Says 'COVID Is Not A Virus,' Membership Of Dr. Lois Apparently Expired, MKEK: Already Arrested By Polda

JAKARTA - The Chairperson of the Medical Ethics Honorary Council (MKEK) of the Indonesian Doctors Association (IDI) Dr. Pukovisa Prawiroharjo said his party was waiting for Dr. Lois Owien's statement regarding his membership in IDI.

Along with the news that Dr Lois is not a member of IDI even his practice license has expired since 2017. "Yes, it needs to be clarified first," said Dr Pukovis to VOI, Monday, July 12.

However, Dr. Pukovisa admits that based on data from the Indonesian Medical Council (KKI) and IDI, the person concerned is not on the list.

"Yes, I got information from him first. In the KKI and IDI databases, which obviously have expired," he said.

Regarding the IDI summons which was rejected by Dr. Lois, Dr. Pukovisa said that he would see the process going forward. The last information he got, Dr. Lois had been detained by the authorities.

"Yes, just look (if you refuse, ed). The latest information in question has been detained by the Regional Police," said Dr Pukovisa.

It is known, the name of dr. Lois became a conversation after believing that the patients who died in the hospital were not caused by the corona virus, but because of excessive drug interactions.

He said that the drugs used for COVID-19 patients had caused complications in the body.

Previously, the Executive Board of the Indonesian Doctors Association (IDI) had summoned Dr. Lois. In the initial investigation, PB IDI stated that Dr Lois' membership had expired at IDI.

"The membership has expired a long time ago," said the General Chairperson of PB IDI, Dr. Daeng Faqih, Sunday, July 11.

However, from the summons, doctor Lois Owien flatly refused to attend and clarify his statement.

Now it is reported that Dr Lois has been detained and the case is being handled by the Polda Metro Jaya. This is based on the statement of doctor and activist Tirta Mandira Hudhi or better known by the name of Dr. Tirta.

Polda Metro Jaya said that Lois' case was handled by the National Police Headquarters. "Headquarters is handled by Headquarters," said the Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya Yusri Yunus when confirmed, Monday, July 12.
