Flight Restrictions At Soetta Airport And Other Angkasa Pura II Have Been Extended To 7 June

JAKARTA - The application of flight restrictions at PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) airport was extended to June 7, 2020, from previously until June 1, 2020.

This is in accordance with the Circular of the Task Force for the Acceleration of Handling COVID-19 Number 05/2020 which extends the validity period of the Travel Restriction of People in the Context of Accelerated Handling of COVID-19 until 7 June 2020.

The Minister of Transportation also released the Minister of Transportation Decree No. KM 116 of 2020 which extends the validity period until 7 June 2020 for PM 25/2020 concerning Transportation Control during the Idul Fitri 1441 Hijriah Homecoming Period in the Context of Preventing the Spread of COVID-19.

The Director General of Air Transportation of the Ministry of Transportation followed up with a Circular No. 37/2020 which extends the entry into force until 7 June 2020 for SE No. 32/2020 concerning Air Transportation Operational Instructions for the Implementation of Travel Restrictions for People in the Context of Accelerating Handling of COVID-19.

In line with the issuance of the three regulations, the departure procedure for domestic route passengers in the midst of the pandemic is still being implemented at PT Angkasa Pura II airport.

"Flight restrictions are still in place at PT Angkasa Pura II airport until June 7, 2020, meaning that domestic plane passengers must meet a number of requirements and complete various documents," said President Director of PT Angkasa Pura II, Muhammad Awaluddin in a written statement received by VOI, Monday 1 June.

Following this, PT Angkasa Pura II informed that during the flight restriction period, people who were allowed to travel by plane were those who worked for government or private institutions.

They are those who organize: Services to accelerate handling of COVID-19; defense, security and public order; health; basic needs; basic service support; and service essential economic functions.

Patients who need emergency health services or travel, people whose members are out of the core are seriously ill or have died, are also allowed to travel. In addition, Indonesian Migrant Workers who are returning to their areas of origin are also allowed to travel on domestic routes by meeting the requirements in advance.

Document Checking at Airport

Regarding this exception, PT Angkasa Pura II and other stakeholders will check the required documents as stated in SE 05/2020, such as:

1. Letter of assignment for ASN and TNI / Polri signed by at least echelon 2 level officials

2. Letter of assignment for employees of BUMN / BUMD / UPT / Satker / non-government organizations / business institutions, signed by the board of directors / head of office

3. Show a certificate of Reverse Transcription test - Polymese Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) with a negative result that is valid for 7 days or a certificate for Rapid-Test with non-reactive results that is valid 3 days at the time of departure

4. Symptom-free certificate such as influenza (influenza-like illness) from a hospital doctor / Puskesmas for areas that do not have PCR Test / Rapid Test facilities

5. For those who do not represent government or private institutions must make a statement letter signed on a stamp duty and known to the local village head / village head

6. Show KTP or other valid identification

7. Report travel plans

Meanwhile, a hospital referral certificate must also be completed for patients or people whose nuclear family members are seriously ill. For people who wish to travel because their immediate family member has passed away, they are asked to complete a death certificate.

Digital Document Check

In the future, PT Angkasa Pura II will impose digital document checks for potential passengers on domestic routes in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.

And following this, yesterday, Sunday, May 31, 2020, a digital inspection simulation was carried out on the documents of prospective aircraft passengers.

"The current process is for prospective passengers to bring all document files to be checked at the airport. In the future, digital checks will be carried out," said Muhammad Awaluddin.

With digital checks, prospective passengers on domestic routes can upload documents that must be fulfilled into the Travel Declaration (Travelation) application, and if approved, prospective passengers will receive a digital pre-clearance certificate that can be opened on their gadgets for inspection at the airport.

"Through digitization the process becomes more concise but still tight, and ensures the realization of physical distancing," said Muhammad Awaluddin.
