MPR Chairman Bambang Soesatyo Brings Good News, He Agrees The House Complex Page To Become A COVID-19 Emergency Hospital

JAKARTA - Chairman of the MPR RI Bambang Soesatyo supports the use of the Assembly Complex courtyard (MPR/DPR/DPD RI Building) as an emergency support hospital for treating COVID-19 patients if hospitals in Jakarta can no longer accommodate COVID-19 patients.

According to Bambang Soesatyo, tents and folding mattresses commonly used by police personnel during security duties at the Assembly Complex can be used as emergency wards.

"The Secretary General of the MPR/DPR/DPD RI can coordinate with each other, including with the Ministry of Health, Polda Metro Jaya, Directorate of Pam Obvit, along with other devices such as community organizations, Youth Movement, TNI-Polri Communication Forum (FKPPI) or Pancasila Youth," said Bambang Soesatyo or Bamsoet in his statement, in Jakarta, quoted from Antara, Sunday, July 11.

Bamsoet stated his approval at the FKPPI Virtual Coordination Meeting chaired by the General Chairperson of FKPPI Ponco Sutowo, in Jakarta, Saturday 10 July. Bamsoet said with this coordination, the Assembly Complex courtyard could function as an emergency COVID-19 hospital.

This step, according to him, is to reduce the burden on hospitals that are already overcapacity, so that they can help our countrymen who have been affected by the COVID-19 disaster.

He emphasized that the obedience of the community in complying with the Emergency PPKM regulations, the discipline of carrying out health protocols, and receiving the COVID-19 vaccination, are part of the attitude of defending the country.

"Not only protecting yourself, your family and community members from the attack of COVID-19, but also protecting the destruction of the country," he said.

He said, specifically to help the Government accelerate the COVID-19 vaccination program, FKPPI will form a COVID-19 Vaccination Task Force.

This, according to him, is because FKPPI and other community organizations have successfully carried out COVID-19 vaccinations for 3,000 elderly and tourism sector workers, which were carried out at the Sultan Hotel in April 2021.

"Through the task force, the success will be disseminated to FKPPI in various regions. By working together, the Government acts as a vaccine provider, the FKPPI Task Force will cooperate with various stakeholders to prepare health workers as well as the required facilities and infrastructure such as syringes and places for implementation. vaccination," he said.
