DENPASAR - Police arrested two perpetrators of theft at the Circle K minimarket, Jalan Gatot Subroto, East Denpasar, Bali. The two perpetrators were named Dimas Wahyu Ramadhan and Putu Sudirta alias Leong.

"Revealing the perpetrators of stealing (theft by weight), the method is by damaging, breaking the shop's glass door. We managed to arrest them in less than 1 x 24 hours," said Denpasar Police Chief, Kombes Jansen Avitus Panjaitan, Friday, July 9.

The theft was reported by the management of Circle K Indonesia Utama on Thursday, July 8. At that time, a minimarket employee who received information about the theft immediately went to the location.

It turned out that the minimarket's glass door had been broken. A number of items for sale have been lost.

There were 102 packs of cigarettes, 3 perfumes stolen by the perpetrators. The loss is said to have reached Rp. 6.5 million.

According to the report, the police moved in and arrested the perpetrator on Thursday, July 8 afternoon. The two perpetrators fought the officers and were shot in the leg.

"The two perpetrators fought back so that decisive action was taken against the two perpetrators towards their feet," added Jansen.

The perpetrator acted by bringing a crowbar to break the Circle K glass. The perpetrator admitted to stealing for daily needs.

"The perpetrator's mode of entry was by breaking the front door of Circle K with a crowbar and then taking the items in the store," said Jansen.

The two perpetrators were charged with Article 363 of the Criminal Code concerning theft with a weighted sentence of a maximum of 7 years in prison. (*)
