Metro Police Arrest 2 Drug Sellers Not In Accordance With HET By Raising Prices 4 Times

JAKARTA - The police arrested two drug dealers with the initials N and MPP. They sell drugs that do not match the Highest Retail Price (HET) set by the Ministry of Health (Kemenkes).

"This MPP buys medicine and sells it to N at a price of 2 times. After that, MPP offers it to the public online. The type of medicine is Oseltamivir Phosphate which is 75 mg. This includes hard drugs that have been regulated by the Ministry of Health," said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Yusri Yunus told reporters, Friday, July 9.

Oseltamivir Phosphate is a drug that is often consumed by the public during the COVID-19 pandemic. The suspects are looking for multiple benefits.

For the price of Oseltamivir Phosphate that has been determined, it is IDR 260 thousand per box. If 10 boxes were sold, the price should have been Rp. 2.6 million.

"To the people who need it, the price is Rp. 8.4 million to Rp. 8.5 million. There is an increase in the profit that he gets up to 4 times, because he knows this medicine is scarce," said Yusri.

"The same as Ivermectin yesterday, HET Rp. 75 thousand, to the public Rp. 400 thousand per box. This is what I said yesterday, these are people who dance on the suffering of others," continued Yusri.

In addition, Kombes Yusri ensured that his party continued to monitor the prices and availability of drugs and medical devices. Strict action will be taken against anyone who tries to play.

"We will continue to investigate, either directly to existing retailers or on social media. Because there is a stipulation from the Ministry of Health, drugs that have a doctor's prescription must have a STRTTF permit. The name must be a doctor's prescription, but it is free to sell. high prices," said Yusri.

Two suspects were charged with Law Number 7 of 2014 in Article 107 in conjunction with Article 29, Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 8 on Protection and Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 19 of 2016 concerning Amendments to Momor 11 concerning ITE. They face a maximum of 10 years in prison.
