The Case Of Bribery Of Selling And Buying Positions, The Regent Of Nganjuk Is Deactivated Immediately

SURABAYA - Police Headquarters handed over the completeness of the case file for the inactive Nganjuk Regent Novi Rahman Hidayat. Novi will be tried in court for alleged bribery of buying and selling positions.

"The case file for Novi and six other suspects, in the same case, was declared P21 by the prosecutor on July 5, 2021. Last Thursday the person concerned was handed over to the Nganjuk District Court," said Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Headquarters Inspector General Argo Yuwono, Friday, July 9.

Argo said that the second stage of submission (suspects and evidence) from investigators to the Nganjuk District Court was carried out on Thursday, July 8.

"The person concerned arrived in Surabaya accompanied by the Public Prosecutor from the Attorney General's Office and headed to Nganjuk via land transportation with strict health protocols," said Argo.

Meanwhile, the Head of Public Relations of the East Java Police, Kombes Gatot Repli Handoko, said that Novi and the six suspects had been brought to the Nganjuk Kejari for the second stage of the handover process.

"Until now, it is still at the Nganjuk District Attorney's Office, because of the second stage of the handover process. Henceforth, we do not know if he is being detained there," said Gatot.

Bupayi Novi and the six suspects were ensnared in the case of buying and selling positions, in the action taken by the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police Headquarters and the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) several months ago.

The case was then handled by the Police Headquarters. A total of 49 witnesses were questioned and three experts were consulted by investigators in this case.

In addition to Novi, the six suspects in this case are the Head of Pace Dupriono (DR), the Head of Tanjungnaom Sub-district, the Plt of the Sukomoro Sub-district Head Edie Srijato (ES), the Berbek Haryanto (HY) sub-district head, the Loceret sub-district head Bambang Subagio (BS), the former Sukomoro sub-district head Tri Basuki Widodo (TBW). ), and an aide to the Ngajuk Regent M Izza Muhtadin.

In this case, Novi and her aides are suspected of Article 5 Paragraph (2) and/or Article 11 and/or Article 12B of Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning the Eradication of Corruption which was amended and added through Law Number 20 of 2021 concerning Amendments to Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption Juncto Article 55 Paragraph (1) 1st of the Criminal Code.

Meanwhile, the five sub-district heads are suspected of Article 5 Paragraph (1) letters a and or b and Article 13 of Law 31 of 1999 as amended by Law Number 20 of 2021 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption in conjunction with Article 55 Paragraph (1) of the 1st Criminal Code.
