MEDAN - Riding a yellow Scoopy motorbike, Medan Mayor Bobby Nasution inspected the repair of damaged roads leading to Lau Cih Market, Medan Tuntungan District.

This review was carried out by Bobby Nasution to see the progress of completion of the work with the widening and concreting by the Medan City Public Works Department so that later access to and from the public to Lau Cih Main Market would be smooth.

Accompanied by the Head of Public Works (PU) of Medan City, Zulfansyah, Bobby Nasution rode a motorbike to check the drainage around the road.

Every now and then Bobby Nasution stopped to check if the drainage was working properly. In addition to inspecting the entrance to Lau Cih Market, the Mayor also reviewed the damaged road on Bunga Asoka street, Asam Kumbang residence, Medan Selayang district, and repairs the damaged road on Wisata street, Medan Johor district.

The reason is, 2 months ago when he inspected the road it was still in the form of hardening the soil but now it has been completed. According to Bobby Nasution, the land acquisition has been carried out for a long time, therefore the process has been accelerated.

Bobby Nasution explained, the target for repairing damaged roads is completed within two years. Where the roads in the sub-district and other small roads in the city of Medan play a role in helping the community's economy so that it must be considered.

"Thanks to the Public Works Department, I came here last, more or less, not more than two months ago, still in the process of hardening the soil. Thank you to the Public Works Department, I asked for this yesterday, this land has long been released. We are sorry that it will be occupied later, we will have to issue a budget that is not supposed to be done anymore. We ask PU to work on it, right, this is going to the Main Market," said Bobby Nasution, Tuesday, July 6.

Previously, Bobby Nasution inspected the damaged road on Bunga Asoka street. Arriving at the location, Bobby immediately saw the condition of the potholes which resulted in reduced public comfort in driving plus the risk of accidents.

Bobby Nasution explained, Jalan Bunga Asoka is a liaison between provincial roads and national roads, so this road is used by many vehicles weighing more than 3 tons, causing damage to the road.

Therefore, Bobby Nasution promised that the road repairs will be completed in August with concrete at the latest. He emphasized that road infrastructure improvement is one of the priority programs. In fact, Bobby Nasution has targeted the repair of all roads under the authority of the Medan City Government to be completed within two years while still paying attention to the quality of the construction.
