JAKARTA - The North Jakarta Metro Resort Police (Polres) confiscated 50 kilograms (kg) of marijuana from two people with the initials BA and SR, accomplices to a drug dealer from Medan, North Sumatra known as Opung.
North Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Guruh Arif Darmawan said members of the Jakut Police Narcotics Investigation Unit confiscated the marijuana weighing about 50 kilograms from the rented apartment of the two suspects.

Guruh explained that the two suspects were arrested by members of the Narcotics Unit at the Jakarta Metro Police after conducting the investigation process. Both are known to have been operating in the jurisdiction of the North Jakarta Metro Police.

The two suspects are currently being held at the Jakut Police Headquarters for legal proceedings.
For their actions, the two suspects were threatened with Article 114 paragraph 2 subsidiary Article 111 paragraph 2 of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics.
