Dor! Dor! The Foot Of The Bolong Theft Perpetrator Shot By Matraman Police Personnel

JAKARTA - Police officers from Matraman Police, East Jakarta shot one of the perpetrators of motor vehicle theft (curanmor) in the Utan Kayu area for resisting officers when arrested.

"They took the motorbike at the victim's house. It was seen on CCTV, then we gave chase. When they were about to be arrested they fought back. So, we took decisive and measured action," said Matraman Police Chief Kompol Tedjo Asmoro as quoted by Antara, Jakarta, Tuesday, July 6.

The theft of 4 people in action. While the officers shot in the leg amounted to one person. Tedjo said, the 3 perpetrators were still arrested in the East Jakarta area, while the other was in Johar Baru, Central Jakarta.

From the arrest, a number of evidences were also secured in the form of a stolen motorbike, a T letter key, and a jacket worn by one of the suspects.

"We secured one motorbike, the players with their jackets clearly haven't changed, we secured last night with the field team," said Tedjo Asmoro.

Furthermore, Tedjo said, his party will continue to eradicate criminal acts that occurred during the implementation of the current Emergency Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM).

"Right now during the pandemic, our Emergency PPKM focuses on crowds of residents, but we also focus on prioritizing crimes in the Matraman area," said Tedjo.
