JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has limited the activities of employees in the office environment during the Implementation of the Emergency Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) due to the massive increase in COVID-19 cases recently.

"In order to prevent and break the chain of the spread of COVID-19 and adjust government policies related to Emergency PPKM, the KPK is still limiting activities in the office with a maximum proportion of attendance of 25 percent," Acting KPK Spokesperson for Prevention Ipi Maryati told reporters on Monday, July 5.

He said that employees at the KPK's Red and White Building are limited to working only eight hours with the following hours: Monday to Thursday employees enter from 08.00 WIB to 17.00 WIB, while Friday employees enter from 08.00 WIB to 17.30 WIB.

"For holders of leadership positions, supervisory boards, and structural officers or implementing structural officials, they carry out work activities at the office and at home with a proportion of three days in the office within a week," said Ipi.

He ensured that employees who work in the office must implement strict health protocols.

"Employees are required to always wear masks, carry out physical distancing when in work rooms, meeting rooms or in elevators, as well as other health protocol measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19," he said.

Previously reported, as many as 113 employees and related parties within the KPK were tested positive for COVID-19.

Of the hundreds of employees, two of whom are known to be positive and are self-isolating, are KPK Deputy Chair Nurul Ghufron and Acting KPK Spokesperson for Enforcement Sector Ali Fikri. Both of them are self-isolating at their respective homes because they do not experience severe symptoms but only mild symptoms such as fever and coughing runny nose.
