PP Muhammadiyah Grief, Prof Baedhowi Passes Away

JAKARTA - PP Muhammadiyah mourns. The chairman of the PP Muhammadiyah Educational Council, Prof. Dr. H. Baedhowi, died in Jakarta on Sunday at 09.40 WIB.

General Chairperson of PP Muhammadiyah, Haedar Nashir, said Prof. Baedhowi is known as a thinker and practitioner who understands the world of education deeply and broadly.

"Hopefully the late Husnul Khatimah, his mistakes will be forgiven, his deeds of worship accepted, and placed in Jannatun Na'im," said Haedar in a written statement in Jakarta, reported by Antara, Sunday, July 4.

Haedar added that during his lifetime, the late was really devoted to and loved education totally and his life was spent being solemn to advance education.

Prof. Baedhowi was last involved in compiling the Muhammadiyah Education Roadmap, Muhammadiyah Education Database, and Muhammadiyah Education Implementation during the pandemic with online learning.

"Hopefully Prof Baedhowi's service in advancing primary and secondary education will be a milestone for the future of Muhammadiyah education that excels and progresses," Haedar hoped.

Previously, Prof. Baedhowi had served as Director General of Secondary Education of the Ministry of Education and Culture, Secretary General, Director General of PMPTK of the Ministry of Education and Culture.
