TNI-Polri Distribute President Jokowi's Basic Food Assistance To Kendari Residents

KENDARI - Joint TNI-Polri personnel in Kendari City, Southeast Sulawesi (Sultra) carried out the distribution of President Jokowi's social assistance food staples to underprivileged residents as a form of handling COVID-19 from an economic perspective.

The Commander of the Brimob Unit (Dansat) of the Southeast Sulawesi Police through the Head of Operations Unit of the Southeast Sulawesi Police Brimob AKP Asri Diyni in Kendari, Saturday, said that the distribution of food packages, which are the President's social assistance, was carried out in synergy with Battalion 725/Woroagi personnel.

"The activity that we carried out today with TNI personnel from Yonif 725/Woroagi is an activity to distribute basic food packages from the President of the Republic of Indonesia with the target of underprivileged residents as one of the efforts to help the community create hope in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic," he said.

The synergy between the Indonesian National Armed Forces and the National Police in providing assistance to the President's social assistance food packages in Kendari City to help ease the economy of the residents in the midst of the current COVID-19 pandemic, also involves 40 personnel from Brimob Polda Sultra and Infantry Battalion 725/Woroagi.

Asri said that 270 packages of basic food items were handed out consisting of 5 kg of rice, 2 kg of sugar, 1 liter of cooking oil, biscuits and tea which were distributed at nine points throughout the Kendari City area.

Quoted by Antara, he detailed the targets for the nine points, namely Puosu Jaya Village, Latjinta 2 BTN area, Lepo-Lepo Permai BTN, The Villas labor settlement complex, scavenger complex beside BPK, Kemaraya scavenger complex, Jalan Komjen M. Jasin scavenger complex, BTN area. Raksa Dewa, Lalowiu Village and the residents' complex around Mako Battalion 725 Woroagi.

"We, TNI-Polri personnel, together with the residents, always pray that Mr. President will always be given health and strength in leading the nation and country through the COVID-19 pandemic that we both feel right now," he concluded.
