The South Jakarta Mayor's Office Has Been Converted Into A Place For Isolation Of COVID-19 Patients

JAKARTA - The South Jakarta City Government has made a room in the local mayor's office building an isolation room for COVID-19 patients without symptoms.

This is because the capacity in hospitals and other facilities is full on the first day of the Emergency Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM).

"The capacity of the isolation room at the South Jakarta Administration Mayor's Office reaches 250 people", said South Jakarta Mayor Isnawa Adji as quoted by Antara, Saturday, July 3.

There are also rooms that will be used as isolation rooms, namely the second floor multipurpose room and the former Darul Jannah Mosque on the third floor in the Block BC Building. "For effectiveness, we are still waiting for further directions from the DKI Jakarta Province", Isnawa said.

The South Jakarta City Government has prepared a mattress and also a folding bed (velbed). Currently, there are 99 velbeds of 83 each in the former Darul Jannah Mosque and 16 others in the multi-purpose room.

His party will coordinate with other agencies to complete the shortage of beds. Later, the isolation place will be operated according to strict health protocol procedures and accompanied by medical personnel from the South Jakarta Health Sub-dept.

COVID-19 patients without symptoms will be given vitamins, sports activities, health checks, and the use of toilets according to health protocols.

The addition of the isolation place for COVID-19 patients without symptoms is expected to anticipate the number of positive COVID-19 people who must be isolated because the Central Government is targeting an increase in tests per day in DKI Jakarta.

In accordance with the Instruction of the Minister of Home Affairs Number 15 of 2021 concerning the Implementation of Restrictions on Community Activities or COVID-19 Emergency PPKM in Java and Bali, DKI Jakarta is targeted to carry out COVID-19 tests, as many as 22.811 tests per day.

For the South Jakarta area, the central government is targeting COVID-19 tests per day to reach 4.916 tests. Meanwhile, for the isolation of COVID-19 patients without symptoms, Graha Wisata Ragunan has 78 rooms with a capacity of about 200 people and at the Jagakarsa Education Quality Assurance Institute (LPMP).

Other places have also been prepared, including the Saryanto Air Force's Aviation and Space Health Institute (Lakespra) building located in Pancoran and Pasar Rumput Flats, Setiabudi, South Jakarta.

The Pasar Rumput Flat is targeted to accommodate around 7.936 beds of COVID-19 patients without symptoms.
