COVID-19 Update As Of July 3rd: 27.913 New Cases, DKI Jakarta 9.702 People

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. The cumulative total of cases stands at 2.256.851 since the first cases were announced on March 2. Meanwhile, new cases per day reached 27.913 people.

Meanwhile, the number of recovered cases today increased by 13.282 people, bringing the total to 1.915.147 people recovered. Meanwhile, positive confirmed cases who died increased by 493 people and a total of 60.027 people.

Meanwhile, the province with the newest cases is DKI Jakarta with 9.702 new cases and a total of 570.110 cases. DKI is the province with the most COVID-19 cases in Indonesia. Followed by the province of West Java with 5.393 cases and the total cumulative cases reached 397.947.

Then, Central Java had 3.224 new cases, with a total of 262.325 cases. East Java 1.439 cases and a total of 177.257 cases were recorded. Followed by DI Yogyakarta with an increase of 1.358 cases and the total cases reached 63.634.

It was also reported that 9 provinces reported adding new cases under 100, namely Southeast Sulawesi 100 cases, South Kalimantan 77 cases, Aceh 72 cases, Jambi 56 cases, Papua 30 cases, West Nusa Tenggara 25 cases, West Sulawesi 20, and Gorontalo 14 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 5.682 recovered cases. West Java followed with an increase of 2.275 cases. Then, followed by Central Java 1.500 cases recovered, East Java 638 cases, and DI Yogyakarta 424 cases.

In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined per day is 157.227. Meanwhile, cumulatively it reached 20.369.103. As for the details, 16.600.540 were examined by RT-PCR, 193.508 by the TMC method, and 3.575.055 people were tested for antigen.

"For the number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or currently categorized as suspected cases, it was recorded at 133.189 people", he said.

Then, the weekly positivity rate for people from June 27 to July 3 2021 is 24.11 percent. While the daily positivity rate is 25.15 percent.

Currently, 681.419 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and the total has reached 31.573.240, and 152.625 people have been vaccinated for the second dose, the cumulative total has reached 13.922.732. Meanwhile, the vaccination target reached 40.349.049 people.
