Coordinating Minister Luhut: If We Strictly Prokes, 10-12 Days More COVID-19 Cases Decrease Kasus

JAKARTA - Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan reiterated the importance of implementing strict health protocols during the emergency PPKM period on July 3-20.

"So, if we are strict (implementing health protocols) and everyone works together then after 10-12 days, we will see positive cases (COVID) will decrease," said Luhut after visiting Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Tangerang, Banten, quoted by Antara. , Saturday, July 3rd.

Luhut explained that the emergency PPKM policy was taken by the government to suppress the recent increase in COVID-19 cases.

He also asked the public to comply with the provisions that have been set.

The Coordinating Minister said the government had prepared strict sanctions for anyone who violated the health protocols.

"I don't get tired of saying, people who don't obey the rules of this game will be dealt with firmly. This is for our safety together," he said.

Luhut added that the government also encourages vaccination efforts to be carried out as much as possible.

According to him, vaccination is one of the effective ways, along with the implementation of the 3M health protocol.

"So if you want to travel, you must have a vaccine card, if you haven't been vaccinated, we will give you the opportunity to get the vaccine at the airport. Later, we will also give it at sea ports and crossing ports," he concluded.

During the visit, Coordinating Minister Luhut was accompanied by Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi, Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin, and the leadership of PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero).
