To The Regency Government, Cianjur Police Propose Closure Of 13 Protocol Roads During Emergency PPKM

JAKARTA - The Cianjur Police, West Java, proposed the closure of a number of protocol roads during the implementation of the emergency PPKM, from July 3 to 20, 2021, to the local district government.

His party will also establish three posts in each closed zone, one of which is in the Puncak Pass area.

"We have proposed to the Cianjur Regency Government regarding the closure of the road as an effort to prevent crowds along the protocol and national route during emergency PPKM," said Cianjur Police Chief AKBP Mochamad Rifai in Cianjur as reported by Antara, Friday, July 2.

He mentioned that the closure of 13 protocol roads and two national lanes is a route located in the middle of the city and the entrance to this area, such as the Gentur Lamp Monument-by pass Cianjur, for 4 hours every day.

"Every day, the closure only applies during peak hours in the morning and afternoon for 2 hours each. We will enforce a closure which is divided into three zones or rings," he said.

Ring 1, said AKBP Mochamad Rifai, includes Mangunsarkoro Street, Siti Jenab Street, Yulius Usman Street, Dewi Sartika Street, and Amalia Rubini Street. The road, he said, is in a city where there are still crowds every day.

Ring 2 includes Jalan HOS Tjokroaminoto, Jalan Barisan Banteng Atas, Jalan KH Sa'ban, Jalan Moch Toha, Jalan Ibu Atikah-Kelurahan Solokpandan, and Jalan Suroso.

Ring 3 covers the Puncak-Bogor border and the Gentur Lights Monument Roundabout which is the entrance to the capital city of Cianjur Regency.

At a number of points, said the Chief of Police, every day traffic jams occur and become the center of crowds in this area.

For guarding, he continued, three posts will be formed, each post will be guarded by 50 joint officers, including TNI, Raider 300, and Satpol PP.

The police chief explained that the presence of officers at the post was to prevent violations and leakage of residents who passed during the closure.

Every weekend, his party continues to increase supervision and inspection at every border of Cianjur Regency with other regions in an effort to minimize the entry of migrants without a certificate of being free of COVID-19 antigen to Cianjur.
