Walkot Mohammad Idris Instructs Depok ASN To Compulsory Al-Qur'an, Non-Muslim?

DEPOK - Depok Mayor Mohammad Idris issued instructions to all State Civil Apparatuses (ASN) of the Depok City Government, West Java, to carry out recitations and khatam Al-Qur'an.

This instruction is contained in the Depok Mayor's Instruction Number 03 of 2021 regarding, Recitation and Khataman Al-Qur'an in congregation for all Depok City State Civil Apparatus.

"In addition to implementing a clean and healthy lifestyle and strict health protocols, there are other efforts that can be made in the midst of the current COVID-19 pandemic," Idris said in a statement quoted by Antara, Friday, July 2.

As for those who are non-Islamic, they adjust to reading the holy book according to their respective teachings.

In the Instruction, it was explained that all Heads of Regional Apparatus (PD) were to lead the recitation and Khataman Al-Qur'an activities once a week, namely simultaneously on Friday, July 2nd.

Activities can also be carried out through online or online facilities. This instruction is also intended to increase faith in Allah SWT during the COVID-19 pandemic.
