Anies Baswedan Still Asks For COVID Donations To The Embassy, Eko Kuntadhi Wonder: Why Were Abdul Somad-Adi Hidayat Not Deployed?

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has requested facilitation assistance for COVID-19 patients who are being accommodated in the Nagrak Flats, Cilincing, North Jakarta. The request for assistance was known through a letter signed by the Head of the DKI Jakarta Regional Cooperation Bureau, Andhika Permata on June 28, 2021.

The target of the letter is the embassy offices in Jakarta to fill various facilities in 5 towers of Nagrak Flats with a capacity to accommodate 5,000 patients.

Social media activist Eko Kuntadhi also opened his voice with the steps of the DKI Provincial Government, which was commanded by Anies Baswedan. According to Eko, it is strange that DKI Jakarta, which has a APBD of Rp. 84 trillion in 2021, is still asking for donations to the embassy.

Moreover, the discussion of this APBD will be carried out in 2020 where COVID-19 is still in Jakarta. This means that the provincial government already has a strategic plan, preparing a budget post for handling the pandemic.

"Why does Jakarta seem so complicated, it's really hard to get out of money, while if you spend money on things that aren't important, how come you just play like that, suddenly there are only a few trillions," said Eko through the CokroTV Youtube channel quoted Friday, July 2.

For example, the need for road paint for bicycle lanes. Of the 73 kilometers of painted bicycle lanes, the provincial government spent up to Rp. 73 billion.

"This means that Rp. 1 billion per 1 km is used to paint or compare it with the payment of a Formula E down payment, which is unclear. Until now, the DKI Regional Government has spent Rp. 560 billion and we know whether Formula E is held or not, no one knows," said Eko.

Eko also mentioned Anies Baswedan's activities, which are more concerned with self-image than taking to the field to deal directly with the pandemic. It is very different from the Governor of Central Java, Ganjar Pranowo, who actively disseminates information to the community.

"If we look at the news when the Governor of Central Java Ganjar Pranowo is busy working with cases of increasing COVID-19 in his area, he (Ganjar) goes around the hospital, goes around the market informing the public about the health protocols. Anies even enjoys taking photos of the harvest rice in Sumedang. The COVID-19 case is not more important than his political ambitions by 2024,"

"Anyway, it's surprising why Jakarta has to bother asking for donations from foreign embassies, let's try for example Mr. Anies deploying Somad (Ustaz Abdul Somad) or (Ustaz) Adi Hidayat, they are really good at collecting donations. So in principle Mr. Anies use products- domestic products," said Eko.
