JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government through the Head of the DKI Jakarta Regional Cooperation Bureau, Andhika Permata, sent a letter requesting assistance to foreign ambassadors in Jakarta.

The letter stated that the demand for facilities for handling COVID-19 in Jakarta has recently been increasing.

Social Media Activist Deny Siregar via his Twitter account, @Dennysiregar7 also commented on this request for help. With a sarcastic tweet, Denny asked Anies Baswedan as the number one person in the DKI Provincial Government to ask for help from Ustaz.

"Dear, Mr. @aniesbaswedan. Instead of sending letters asking for assistance in handling covid to foreign ambassadors, it's better to send your mainstay Ustaz for donation", Denny tweeted, quoted Thursday, July 1 today.

It was not explained in detail which Ustaz that Denny was referring to. However, looking back, several religious teachers opened the door for donations during the Israeli aggression against Palestine some time ago.

Not only Ustaz but Anies through social media to the scarf he wore also expressed his side with the Palestinian people. "You could get 30 billion for the Palestinian state, can't you get the same for the beloved city of Jakarta?", quipped Denny.

Jakarta Deputy Governor, Ahmad Riza Patria, admitted that the DKI Provincial Government sent a letter requesting assistance for COVID-19 handling facilities to ambassadors of foreign countries based in Jakarta.

Riza explained, this effort is a form of collaboration from all elements, both agencies and the community in the context of controlling the COVID-19 pandemic in the capital city.

"We are a city of collaboration. Of course, we invite all people to collaborate to help each other, not only the ambassador, but all elements of society have been working together with the Provincial Government, work together to find the best solution for Jakarta's problems to help each other", said Riza at DKI City Hall, Central Jakarta, Thursday, July 1.
