JAKARTA - The Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police stated that the actions of a woman who insulted the Qur'an, stepped on and burned the Red and White flag and went viral on social media last year. The case was investigated by the Karawang Police.

"Regarding this viral video, after an investigation was carried out by Subdit I Pidum, it turned out to be a 2020 video that took place in the jurisdiction of the Karawang Police and was handled by the Police," said Karo Penmas, Police Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Rusdi Hartono in his statement, Thursday, July 1.

According to him, the process of investigating the case has been stopped. That's because the woman in the video is declared to have a mental disorder or crazy.

He said, people who have mental disorders cannot be punished. This is regulated in Article 44 of the Criminal Code paragraph (1).

"The investigation of the case was stopped because the results of psychiatric observations of the perpetrator were classified as having a mental illness," said Rusdi.

Previously reported, a woman suddenly went viral on social media. He garnered attention for insulting the Qur'an to the point of stepping on and burning the Red and White flag.

Based on the video seen by VOI, there are two video recordings uploaded via Facebook social media by Ani's account.

In the first video, it shows a woman wearing a white head covering. He insulted the Qur'an by citing the basic ingredients of his actions from animal dung.

"See, yes, this is made of dog feces, yes. This is made of dog feces, this garbage. The Qur'an is made of dog feces, it belongs to Islam. Look, it is made of dog feces, says the woman in the video.

Then, in the second video, the same woman appears. But, this time he insulted the Red and White Flag. In fact, he burned it.

"This is the flag of this trash. It deserves to be burned, it deserves to be trampled on. This is what I have trampled on, this is the Indonesian flag. Now all I have to do is burn it. I burn it. other people. The terrorists are the legal mafia and their allies, they are terrorists," said the woman

In fact, before burning the Red and White flag, the woman had mentioned that Papuans were not terrorists. However, he thinks that the legal mafia deserve to be called terrorists.

"Remember, Papua is not a terrorist. The terrorists are the legal mafia and their allies. They are terrorists. That's why introspection if you want to say other people are terrorists," said the woman.
